Get Your Game on at the HTML5 Game Jam

Games are a big thing on the web these days. Looking at recent competitions - 10K apart, the JS1k, and Node Knockout - the winners for all three, not to mention many of the runners-up, were games. HTML5 and related technologies are propelling the HTML5 gaming movement and to play our part, we are running an HTML5 Game Jam event this weekend, October 9/10. It will take place in Hilversum, Netherlands, hosted by SPIL Games, and also in San Francisco.

There's more info on The Google Code Blog and we can also announce our keynote speakers: In Hilversum, we'll hear from Tino "Crisp" Zjidel, creator of the original DHTML Lemmings game back in 2004! And in San Francisco, Google's Marcin Wichary will be speaking. Marcin is the creator of the Google Pac-Man logo as well as the HTML5Rocks slide framework.
